A historic new chapter has officially begun at NLCS Kobe! This term, we are delighted to welcome our very first Pre-Grade 1 cohort to our school community. As our 5-year-old learners stepped through the campus gates in their smart new uniforms, the morning was filled with a natural mix of quiet anticipation and first-day curiosity.
At NLCS Kobe, exceptional pastoral care is the foundation of everything we do. We understand that transitioning to a new school environment is a significant step for 5-year-olds. Some children arrived with eager smiles, while others naturally showed a bit of hesitation, holding their parents’ hands just a little tighter or looking around nervously. Our dedicated educators were there at every step, greeting each student individually, kneeling down to their eye level, and guiding them into their new classrooms with patience and warmth.
Ensuring that every child feels secure, valued, and has a true sense of belonging is our highest priority from day one. It was incredibly rewarding to watch the children gradually settle into their vibrant learning spaces, exploring new activities and taking their first steps toward making friends.
