At NLCS Kobe, learning does not only happen inside the classroom.
Each lunchtime, students step outside and head to our nearby playing field, where they have space to run, play, explore and enjoy time together in the fresh air. Whether they are kicking a ball, creating their own games, noticing the changing seasons or simply spending time with friends, these moments are an important part of everyday school life.

Outdoor play gives students the chance to move their bodies, build friendships and return to the classroom refreshed and ready to learn. It also supports their wellbeing, giving them time to balance the focus of the school day with joy, movement and connection.

In a city shaped by the sea and surrounded by mountains, our students are encouraged to appreciate the natural world around them. These everyday experiences help children grow as confident, healthy and curious learners.

A lunchtime breath of fresh air may seem simple, but for our students, it is a valued part of each school day.
