School Lunch Programme

We provide a school lunch programme, giving your child access to hot meals served in our junior school campus cafeteria each day. Lunches are pre-ordered, making it simple for you to plan around your child’s school schedule.

Meal times are an important part of the school day and we want to ensure that children have a calm, quiet and enjoyable lunch time. To facilitate this, all of our staff will have lunch with the children and will sit with them to encourage good eating habits and behaviour, as well as to lead them in conversation and reflection about the day. We would encourage all families to sign up for the lunches as they will be an easy and quick way for the school community to come together.

For each school lunch there will be five main components across three courses – a protein, rice or bread, side dishes and a dessert. The meals have been planned by a children’s nutritionist and use fresh, local produce. There will be alternating Japanese and International flavours across the week.

We understand that food allergies are becoming more common and so we will work with our catering company to try and provide meals that are allergen free (although we cannot guarantee this). Please inform us of any allergies that your child has.

Snacks

During the day children get hungry and they will be able to bring a snack and water bottle each day. The snack should be healthy, not contain nuts and be low in sugar and fat. Children will be encouraged to have their snack at morning break and before clubs start in the afternoon. Children should not have sweets, chocolate, fizzy or caffeinated drinks. Please ensure that water bottles and lunch boxes are clearly labelled with your child’s name (in English).

We do not provide breakfast or afterschool food service.
