Fees & Charges
At NLCS Kobe, our fee structure is designed to be clear and transparent. All amounts are listed in Japanese Yen and are reviewed annually; any changes are communicated to families by April of the preceding academic year.
Fees 2025/26
One-Time Fees
Application Fee – ¥35,000
A non-refundable fee payable per application. This covers the cost of the admissions test.
Enrolment Fee – ¥400,000
A non-refundable fee that covers the administrative costs of completing your child’s enrolment. This is paid when you accept an offer of a place at the school.
Annual Tuition Fee
Tuition is charged annually and can be paid either as a single lump sum or in three instalments across three terms (50% / 25% / 25%), with each instalment due by 4pm on the last day of the preceding term. These amounts will vary for families that join mid-way through a term and the admission team will advise the exact amount owed.
Grade 1–3 Annual tuition: ¥2,800,000
Grade 4–6 Annual tuition: ¥2,900,000
Annual Facility Maintenance Cost
In addition to tuition, there is a non-refundable annual facility maintenance cost of ¥400,000 per student. This contribution supports the ongoing improvement and upgrading of the school’s buildings and learning environment and is payable each year.

What Tuition Does Not Include
The tuition fees above do not cover certain optional or additional services such as:
- School bus usage
- School uniform
- Hot lunches / school meal services
- Examination entrance fees
- After-school clubs and activities run by external providers
- Extra-curricular trips, visits, and residential programmes
These items are billed separately, and costs will vary depending on your child’s participation and choices.
Terms & Conditions
Each parent will be asked to sign a copy of the school terms and conditions, which outline the important legal relationship between the family and the school. Parents are asked to review the notice periods outlined in section 11 and also when termly fees are due.
