The 18th December 2025 marked a very special milestone for NLCS Kobe as our community came together to mark the end of our very first term and our very first Christmas as a school. The celebrations started with students spending the last day before the break in Christmas-themed outfits and taking part in an afternoon of fun seasonal activities with their classroom teachers before an evening’s performance, where festivities continued with a Winter Concert filling our large school hall with joyful singing, cheer and a sense of togetherness. 

Our Parents first enjoyed an exhibition of their children’s artwork displayed around the campus, before settling in for readings and music performed by classes, staff and the newly formed school choir. After a term of dedicated practice, under the expert guidance of our Head of Music, Mrs Baker, the choir impressed with confident performances, including beautiful three-part harmony. For many students, this was their first time singing in English, making their achievement all the more remarkable. A particular highlight was the bespoke and much enjoyed 12 Days of NLCS Kobe, celebrating the unique story of our new school and the students’ successes, before the concert concluded with a rousing rendition of We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

We thank all of our families and staff for their support and enthusiasm in making the end of term our first term and Christmas at NLCS Kobe such a joyful occasion, and all of our NLCS Kobe students for their commitment and hard work this term.
