On Saturday, December 7, 2024, NLCS Kobe held its first major holiday gathering at the scenic Rokko-san Silence Resort on Mt. Rokko, the future home of its stunning senior school campus.
A main feature of the event were the school information sessions delivered by founding Principal Matthew Williams who introduced NLCS Kobe’s vision and curriculum, providing parents and prospective families with the opportunity to learn more about the school.

While parents attended the information sessions, children enjoyed a lively programme of seasonal activities — including writing letters to Santa in English, crafting origami snowflakes, making pine-cone Santas using natural materials from Mt. Rokko, decorating paper chains, and participating in Christmas-themed colouring and crafts.
Families also had the option to take part in a Christmas wreath-making workshop led by the Kansai-based florist BON CHIC BON GOUT. In addition, a special lunch menu featuring items such as Tajima-beef hamburgers, curry, and kids’ plates provided a cosy and festive dining experience for all ages.
Through this event, NLCS Kobe offered families a fun and culturally rich Christmas celebration while also sharing the school’s educational philosophy — grounded in global standards, an appreciation for nature, and the nurturing of each child’s individuality and curiosity.
