Admissions Process

The admissions process at NLCS Kobe is designed to help families find the best fit for their child. We welcome applications from both local and international students for entry into Grades 1 – 6 for the 2025–2026 academic year which starts in August 2025.

Initial Enquiry: Start by contacting our Admissions team for an initial consultation. Our team will supply detailed information about the school, curriculum, and the online application process.

Application Submission:  Applications to NLCS Kobe are submitted online via the ‘OpenApply’ portal. We recommend that parents use a device with a larger screen such as a computer, notebook or tablet.

When you click on the blue ‘NLCS Kobe Application Portal’ button below, a new window will open. You will then be able to access further information about:

• The Application Process
• Which Grade is the right level for your child
• The Application Checklist – so you know what documents you will need to submit
• The Admissions Assessment process

On the homepage of the  ‘OpenApply’ portal, you will see an ‘Application Form’ button. When you click on this, it opens up the online application form.  You will be asked to submit your child’s information first – TAB1. You will then save your entry and move to TAB2 for the parent information. Please make sure you have included your email and phone number so that our admissions team are able to contact you.

You can also create your own private login to your child’s application using your email address and your own password. This means you will be able to save your application and return to it later.

Our Admissions Team is here to help you on every step of your application journey. We will personally guide you for the path that is best for your child.

Assessment: We have different admissions assessments depending on the age of your child. The Principal and Vice Principal will be fully involved in the process and make the final decision. We want your child to be as relaxed as possible and to enjoy the process!

Offers: Once the admissions assessments are complete, we will advise you of the decision.

Enrolment: Upon acceptance of an offer, our Admissions team will contact you so that your child can be fully prepared for and enjoy a smooth transition into the NLCS Kobe school community.
