Introducing Our Founding Principal: Matt Williams

We are excited to introduce Matt Williams as the Founding Principal of North London Collegiate School (NLCS) Kobe. With our doors set to open in August 2025, Matt will be leading the way as we establish a school that offers an exceptional education, deeply rooted in NLCS’s rich tradition of academic excellence while embracing the unique culture and values of Japan.

Matt brings with him a strong background in education and leadership, along with a deep connection to the ethos of NLCS. His commitment to inspiring students to achieve their fullest potential reflects the very heart of what we aim to offer here at NLCS Kobe. Under his leadership, our school will uphold the highest standards of academic achievement, intellectual curiosity, and personal development.

Matt’s contributions extend beyond leadership—he has been pivotal in shaping our admissions and outreach efforts, ensuring that we connect with families and students who share our commitment to an exceptional education. His guidance has also been invaluable in creating engaging materials, such as those that will be featured at upcoming education fairs in Tokyo, and in preserving our legacy through his work with our library and archives team.

We are confident that under Matt’s leadership, NLCS Kobe will not only carry forward the tradition of excellence that NLCS is known for but also foster a learning environment where our students will thrive academically and personally.
